Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Jackson

You'll arrive in Jackson and get settled at your hotel. The afternoon is yours to walk through the town's art galleries and see what's there. Later this evening, you'll meet the rest of your group for a welcome dinner.

Day 2 - Grand Teton National Park

Start your morning at the Craig Thomas Visitor Centre to get oriented with the park's natural and cultural history. From there, you'll drive by Jenny Lake and keep an eye out for wildlife like black bears, grey wolves, eagles, and elk throughout the day. The 40-mile-long Teton Mountain Range with its glacier-carved lakes creates the backdrop as you explore. In the afternoon, you have the option to take an aerial tram ride up to Rendezvous Mountain, which gives you 360-degree views of the Tetons and Jackson Hole stretching out below you.

Day 3 - Grand Teton National Park to West Yellowstone

Begin with an optional Snake River Float Adventure if you want to get out on the water and experience the river up close. After that, you'll drive through Grand Teton National Park's alpine landscapes, passing through parts of Yellowstone's lower loop on your way. Head toward West Yellowstone, which sits as the gateway to the world's oldest national park. Along the drive, watch for wildlife and take in the views of the 40-mile-long Teton Mountain Range as you approach the park's entrance.

Day 4 - Yellowstone National Park

Spend the day in Yellowstone National Park exploring geysers, bubbling mud pots, turquoise hot springs, and geothermal features. You'll watch Old Faithful erupt, check out Norris Geyser Basin and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Keep an eye out for bison, elk, and grizzlies. During the day, you'll meet with a Yellowstone Forever educator who'll teach you about the wolf reintroduction program.

Day 5 - Pocatello - Salt Lake City

You'll start the morning at Swore Farms in Pocatello where Wendy gives you a tour of the property and sets up lunch in the greenhouse. After that, you head south toward Salt Lake City for an orientation tour focusing on Utah's capital, including Temple Square and sites central to the Mormon religion. By evening, you'll meet up with your fellow travelers for dinner.

Day 6 - Bryce Canyon National Park

Head to Bryce Canyon National Park to see its distinctive hoodoo spires and the deep canyons below. The landscape here has juniper pine trees and limestone formations in rusty red, pink, and orange shades. Stop at the visitor center first to learn about the geology and history. Then take a scenic drive with stops at Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, and Inspiration Point. By evening, you can wander around the charming town of Springdale on your own.

Day 7 - Zion Canyon - Williams

You'll start with a scenic private tram ride through Zion Canyon, traveling along the valley floor with towering canyon walls on either side and the Virgin River flowing below. After that, you're heading north into Arizona's painted desert landscape toward Williams. Along the way, you'll stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post where you can browse Native American art and jewelry. By evening, you'll check in at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and settle into your Stays with Stories experience there.

Day 8 - Grand Canyon National Park

This morning you'll spend time at Grand Canyon National Park, getting ground-level views of the canyon with your Travel Director who'll walk through the geology and history of the site. Later on, you'll head to dinner at the Fred Harvey Restaurant where the menu focuses on railroad-inspired dishes served in an authentic historic setting from another era.

Day 9 - Grand Canyon to Las Vegas

Drive the iconic Route 66 through desert landscapes heading toward Las Vegas. You'll pass through historic Route 66 towns and learn about this famous route's place in American history. After, you'll transfer to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport or you have the option to extend your national parks tour instead.
